  1. Hi I am hoping you will consider adding an “individual” size order of fries. Even though a Small is offered, as a single diner a small is still too much for one person. Fries don’t warm up well no matter the method I have tried. If I do order fries I end up throwin 2/3 in the trash, so I usually don’t order them. My Chili Cheese Burger just needs fries. FYI The Hat Chili is my FAVORITE. Thank you for your consideration of my suggestion.

  2. this was very bad quantity of pastrami meat on the bread. the size has shrunk over the years and the price has risen. i have been eating at the hat for 49 years and now very unhappy with it. on the service you receive i will not recommend this place to any body again and if asked i will tell people to stay away go to any other hamburger stand the portions will be better for the $ and the people working their will be more polite my cell 520-907-8173

  3. Bad Customer Service Simi Location.
    Placed order for pastrami sandwich; asked for diced onions, tomatoes, pickles.
    Cashier stated we don’t provide toppings, would maybe do onions and tomatoes. I told him we eat here often and they do it all the time. He checked with the manager he said onions and tomatoes, no pickles.
    We left the restaurant because your management would rather loose customers then
    Provide what other restaurants do for pastrami sandwiches.
    Very disappointed this just happened 5/24/17 @2:55 pm.

  4. On October 29, 2017 at about 4pm went to Hat on Simi Valley, ca. The young guy was rude, he didn’t give me ticket# he gave me wrong order, and instead of giving right order with apology, he made me walk to the opposite end of Restaurant to get my food. I lived in L.A. but moved to Lancaster CA, I drove an hour to eat there, as I frequently do.

  5. Our family dines at your location in Brea, CA and lately we have been disappointed with the fries. They are brown and chewy, not like they use to be golden brown. We dined at your location on 6/12/2018 at about 1300 hours and again the fries were not up to par like they use to be. The pastrami was ok but again not like before, the meat tasted like it was old or sitting for a long time before being served. We speculated that you’re trade is down and the cooks are over cooking to much of the fries and meat before hand.

  6. We just drove through The Hat in Rancho Cucamonga and ordered a pastrami sandwich, a chili cheese dog, and a large french fry. Both the chili dog and the pastrami sandwich buns were super soggy. The french fries were barely cooked. I had to try to salvage them by popping them into my oven. This was a big waste of my money!!!!

The manager with white hair heavy set and a Hispanic lady very rude in drive thru in Brea “the Hat”after arguing about get two more little mustards for 40 dollars plus worth of food the Mgr smacks them in my hand in the drive threw stating that they pay for that too … unbelievable I told him there customer services skills are poor especially when people come to spend good money on there food and that I would be reporting them to customer service and he stated go ahead again unbelievable . It is real sad but how can you expect the employees to treat their customers any better when a manger is NOT
