I have been a Kaiser member for over 30 years and I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, I was told they will order the machine I needed from their vendor Apria, they were going to send it to me and bill me for the copay, but now Apria wants me to give them my credit card information in the phone, before they send the machine. I will not do that, as I have just had a conformite in my credit for doing that and I can’t get your costumer service to help me out, sending me to Apria will not help and I need the machine, from them or some one else.

Dear Mr. Adams,
I writing this letter to let you know about the horrendous experience I had with Kaiser Member Service in Southern California on November 9, 2023, from approximately 11:50 am until approximately 3:10 pm. In addition, Adrian from Kaiser Member Service advised and permitted me to contact you. This is an official complaint related to Family practice and Kaiser Member Service.
I called initially at 11:50 am to discuss why an elderly man (me) has to wait two or more weeks to ascertain an MRI about a Possible torn ligament. Member Service never allowed me the opportunity to discuss my concerns. I am concerned that such a lack of consideration for elderly Kaiser Members falls under Elderly abuse or Elderly negligence.
The ‘stick point’ was a recorded conversation between Kaiser’s representative and Kaiser members. Furthermore, when a Kaiser member calls Kaiser, the member is introduced to a computerized female’s voice saying “This phone call will be recorded for quality control”. With that said, IAW California Penal Code 632, states that California is a two-party state and that phone calls must be approved by both parties. Failure to inform a party is a crime, which Adrain failed to inform me of.
The idea is that Kaiser’s members shall accept Kaiser’s phone call recording policy and are not an employee; yet, employees of Kaiser refuse to accept Kaiser’s phone recorded policy. Adrian stated in one of the recorded conversations that, “We cannot discuss (information) on a recorded line. Yet approximately 2 and a half hours later Adrian called me on a recorded phone call without informing me. Such disrespectful, insidious, and nefarious approaches are inappropriate for Kaiser’s members. Adrian’s second call was intended to antagonize and to overtly show disrespect toward me.
In conclusion, please contact me before I forward this complaint to Assembly member Sabrina Cervantes. I also plan to forward this complaint to the U.S. California Senator if I am not contacted within a reasonable time.
