  1. Hi I am hoping you will consider adding an “individual” size order of fries. Even though a Small is offered, as a single diner a small is still too much for one person. Fries don’t warm up well no matter the method I have tried. If I do order fries I end up throwin 2/3 in the trash, so I usually don’t order them. My Chili Cheese Burger just needs fries. FYI The Hat Chili is my FAVORITE. Thank you for your consideration of my suggestion.

    this was very bad quantity of pastrami meat on the bread. the size has shrunk over the years and the price has risen. i have been eating at the hat for 49 years and now very unhappy with it. on the service you receive i will not recommend this place to any body again and if asked i will tell people to stay away go to any other hamburger stand the portions will be better for the $ and the people working their will be more polite my cell 520-907-8173

  3. Bad Customer Service Simi Location.
    Placed order for pastrami sandwich; asked for diced onions, tomatoes, pickles.
    Cashier stated we don’t provide toppings, would maybe do onions and tomatoes. I told him we eat here often and they do it all the time. He checked with the manager he said onions and tomatoes, no pickles.
    We left the restaurant because your management would rather loose customers then
    Provide what other restaurants do for pastrami sandwiches.
    Very disappointed this just happened 5/24/17 @2:55 pm.

  4. On October 29, 2017 at about 4pm went to Hat on Simi Valley, ca. The young guy was rude, he didn’t give me ticket# he gave me wrong order, and instead of giving right order with apology, he made me walk to the opposite end of Restaurant to get my food. I lived in L.A. but moved to Lancaster CA, I drove an hour to eat there, as I frequently do.

  5. Our family dines at your location in Brea, CA and lately we have been disappointed with the fries. They are brown and chewy, not like they use to be golden brown. We dined at your location on 6/12/2018 at about 1300 hours and again the fries were not up to par like they use to be. The pastrami was ok but again not like before, the meat tasted like it was old or sitting for a long time before being served. We speculated that you’re trade is down and the cooks are over cooking to much of the fries and meat before hand.

  6. We just drove through The Hat in Rancho Cucamonga and ordered a pastrami sandwich, a chili cheese dog, and a large french fry. Both the chili dog and the pastrami sandwich buns were super soggy. The french fries were barely cooked. I had to try to salvage them by popping them into my oven. This was a big waste of my money!!!!

      1. Please come to Buena Park ca. We have nothing in our city but Koren food restaurants. We have plenty of spaces. Buena Park is building up the town but we really need a series of food.
        On ate main drag, “Beach blvd” there is a empty Faller Ice cream place great parking great location ,down the street from Knott’s Berry Farm.
        Please send your Scotts to see location. Buena Park needs The Hat.

The manager with white hair heavy set and a Hispanic lady very rude in drive thru in Brea “the Hat”after arguing about get two more little mustards for 40 dollars plus worth of food the Mgr smacks them in my hand in the drive threw stating that they pay for that too … unbelievable I told him there customer services skills are poor especially when people come to spend good money on there food and that I would be reporting them to customer service and he stated go ahead again unbelievable . It is real sad but how can you expect the employees to treat their customers any better when a manger is NOT

Good Morning … I wanted to leave a recommendation to the possibility of opening a Restaurant in Downey CA, we are situated between the 710 and the 605 FWY’s on the East and West of us and the 91 and 5 FWY’s on the North and South. We recently had a great spot on Firestone Blvd across from Stonewood Mall, however it is now being occupied by a Donut shop, the parking was great and the Drive through would have perfect for a HAT restaurant.

  10. You need to change the wording in your menu. Today Istopped at the Upland Calif. on Central ave. Ordered 1 double chili cheese burger and 1 chili cheese burger. It was totaled at $15.56. which I thought was higher than expected. Before I drove off I ask for my receipt that showed how much per order. She had kept it and took it off the overhead clip and gave it to me. On it was XAMR. I ask what that was and she told me for the cheese. You need to word you chili cheese burgers w/cheese not silently charge for cheese. It needs to be in the total price. Thank…

  13. Sad to post this, but today my Pastrami Sandwich on Wheat bread had Mold. I love the hat but I was so disappointed. I had already ate almost half of my sandwich when I notice my bread had green/ black spots as I removed the yellow paper warp.

  14. I’ve been eating “The Hat” for years! I just went 2 days ago and my husband had a pastrami..our favorite and I had a cheeseburger (mistake) the pastrami was dried up hard pastrami (I’ve gotten used to smaller portions as the yrs go by) but always quality food. leans, soft and delicious. It was the worst I’d ever had I know with takeout only right now product doesnt move quite so quickly but this was ridiculous and I dont even want to start with my cheeseburger. It was the most bland tasteless burger I’ve ever had in all my yrs. I think not any salt or pepper on it utterly tasteless. the onion rings were overly crunch borderline hard. Just an all around terrible meal that wasnt cheap. I always expected quality even if the size got smaller and price got larger. Saying I was disappointed wasn’t even the half of it. It will be a rainy day in hell before I go back there and it’s been 30 yrs plus since I’ve been going there..yuk no more!!

  16. Can the Rancho Cucamonga store give a quick training to the Murrieta location. Murrieta charges the same as the others for a pastrami sandwich but only gives you half of the meat. I have eaten at 5 different locations..Atlantic, Valley Blvd, Upland, Murrieta and Rancho Cucamonga and they all give twice as much meat as Murrieta.. please train them the big sandwich is what sets THE HAT apart from other fast food restaurants..

  18. Love your food. Lived 2 miles from the Simi Valley store but moved to Bakersfield in 2012 and really miss my Hat fix. Bakersfield has a lot of great places to eat and I think you would do well here. Ever thought of opening a restaurant here?

  19. I have been a fan of your pastrami dip for decades. I used to frequent the Alhambra location however I now live in the San Diego area and go to the Murrieta location. Lately, I’ve been noticing that there is a lot of stringy fat on the pastrami and that has historically not been the case. I recently visited the Alhambra location and that sandwich was infinitely more lean. For Murrieta, I have noticed this the last 2-3 times there. I’m hoping this can be cleared up as it kind of ruins the experience when you have to pull strings of fat out of your month…apologize for the visual. Thanks!

  20. We are hoping that the Hat will consider establishing a restaurant in Moreno Valley .Ca. We ate once at the Murrieta and was very impressed with what they had and the amount of food provided. We really like their onions.
